When we are paralyzed by fear, we are not growing and moving towards our fullest expression of self. With this one special opportunity we have of life, it’s imperative that we use this time wisely! It’s ok to be afraid, but when it becomes our everyday life and when fear takes over our choices, we are living in a state of repression rather than expression. By consciously living and making choices from a place of love rather than fear, we expand our opportunities and possibilities beyond our knowing. By using this process outlined below, you become free to harness the energy of fear and use it as a catapult to launch you in a more productive trajectory, rather than it keeping you down. 1. Acknowledge Fear lurks just beyond our reach; just beyond our sight. Just far enough away that if we don’t purposefully, and intentionally grab it, it will slip away into the darkness and continue haunting us, guiding life’s decisions. We have to move from a place of denial and look at it head on to acknowledge it’s existence and remove it's power over our lives. When we can do this from a place of compassion for ourselves, we are able to begin the process of using our fear to catalyze further growth. 2. Take Responsibility When we can hold our fear with full recognition, ownership, responsibility, and empathy something begins to shift. It moves into a realm that is almost tangible and we can begin to recognize and reclaim our power through this process. 3. Feel As you begin to manifest this fear, allow it to fully show up and begin to feel into your body as you hold on to this feeling. What kind of sensations do you have? Where are you tense? Do you feel your muscles twitching? Scan your body to locate where you are experiencing this fear. Maybe it is in your stomach? Maybe the sensation begins at your ankle and travels up into your hip. Tune in and listen. 4. Express Once you have a grasp on this fear that’s been hindering you from your fullest expression, you can now use it. How you choose to express isn't as important as simply representing these feelings of fear. Emote, speak, sing, dance, drawn, paint, yell, jump up and down, laugh, convey the thoughts and feelings however you desire. Bring the fear out in it’s fullest expression. This is the finale of fear's power over you. 5. Release and Honor
By recognizing the energetic power of fear and making the conscious choice to use the energy in service of your highest purpose, you reclaim your power. Declare to yourself out loud: “I honor and release this fear because it has provided me with this abundant energy to manifest the life I desire.” 6. Visualize What do you want and need in order to have a fulfilling life? How are you going to feel when you get there? I like to verbally speak these out to guide myself, but you can keep them in your head as well. Fully design your life in these moments. How you will respond to situations, and how you will feel when you respond. This is the empowering part of the process where you can fully embody living a life free of fear and all that holds you down. Imagine your surroundings, the smells, the tastes, the feel of objects, the emotions, the people you are with. Go as far and deep as you can to maximize the potential of this process. 7. Take Action Now is the time to declare your choices in honor of your truth. What actions can you take right now that will move you in the direction of your ideal visualized world? Do you need to speak with someone and express yourself to them? Possibly make a request of them? There will be risks involved, but your courage and willingness will build your confidence to navigate through your fears, aiding you on your journey to design the life you desire. Fear can make you feel incomplete and stop you from living a life of freedom, fullfilment, and joy. By facing your fears with tenderness and intention, you can relieve yourself of this burden that will allow you the space to design and live an empowered life of your choosing.
